OUTLINE OF THE ARTICLE
ToggleHowever, in the interest of transparency, safety, and the legal protection of our company and staff, we are releasing this public statement to inform our community and stakeholders that we are currently pursuing criminal and civil legal action against a former client based in the United States.
This action follows a series of verified threats, harassment, defamation, and attempts at coercion, all of which were received and documented by our team on April 4, 2025. We are now working with law enforcement agencies in the Philippines and the United States to hold this individual accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
🏛 Our Commitment to Lawful, Respectful, and Secure Business Practices
For over a decade, LICERAinc.com has been a trusted partner in digital strategy, marketing, and brand transformation. We work hard to uphold professionalism and maintain peaceful, solution-based dialogue with our clients—even in times of dissatisfaction.
But when boundaries are crossed—especially when threats of violence, extortion, and reputational destruction are made against our staff and company—we are duty-bound to act.
We are committed to upholding the law, protecting our team, and ensuring that our company remains a safe space for innovation, collaboration, and service delivery.
📌 Overview of the Incident
On April 4, 2025, from 7:02 AM to 10:45 AM (PHT), LICERAinc.com received over 45 aggressive and threatening messages via WhatsApp from a former client currently residing in New York, United States.
The client had previously entered into a valid service agreement and had been provided marketing and branding services. However, when faced with creative and technical outcomes subject to standard industry practice, the individual responded not with a legal query or dispute—but with profanity-laced, violent, and threatening statements against the company and its personnel.
These threats were immediate, targeted, and repeated over the course of several hours, and included threats of physical harm, surveillance, stalking, public defamation, and organized harassment.
🔎 Specific Threats and Their Legal Weight
Below are direct quotes from the messages received, now part of an official legal case:
“I will send the clan there to get my money back.”
“I know where you live.”
“I’m going to break this guy’s face.”
“You will be dragged out of your house.”
“Collectors are coming for you.”
“I will have people watch your house. I will be there myself with my family.”
“My clan is ready. They are in the army, police, and national guard.”
“You better answer me or the authorities are coming.”
“You are going to jail for a long time. I will guarantee it.”
“I can pay anybody off over there and I know a lot of people.”
These statements are severe criminal violations under both Philippine and U.S. law and are now the subject of multiple filings.
