In response to a transforming business environment, the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) is dedicated to helping businesses tap into new economic opportunities during the forthcoming Mandaue Business Month (MBM) 2024.
The event, set to run from August to September, promises a series of activities aimed at navigating the evolving market landscape.
MBM 2024 Launched
The MCCI officially launched MBM 2024 on July 17, 2024, at the Waterworld Hotel Cebu in Mandaue City. This annual flagship program features events under the theme “Future Unleashed: Seize the Chance,” designed to help businesses unlock a prosperous future.
MCCI president Mark Anthony Ynoc emphasized the importance of recognizing opportunities amidst the rapidly changing business landscape. “Today’s rapidly evolving business landscape may present us with new challenges to our businesses, but we see these challenges as opportunities for a brighter future. By seizing chances to grow our potential today, we unlock a prosperous economic future for our businesses and employees,” Ynoc explained.
Chaired by Walter Ong, a prominent young entrepreneur, this year’s MBM adopts the theme “Future Unleashed; Seize the Chance.” The initiative is designed to guide businesses through the complexities of the post-pandemic era, marked by intense competition, fluctuating inflation rates, and geopolitical challenges. Ong noted, “At the MCCI, we view challenges as opportunities to enhance our core competencies, realign operations, and implement best practices learned from industry leaders.”

MBM 2024 aims to be a catalyst for innovation and prosperity within the business community. According to Ong, the event reflects a forward-looking approach, positioning MBM as a pivotal platform for fostering economic growth and innovation. “This marks another important turning point for the Mandaue business community as we navigate another onslaught of challenges that are posed to test our resiliency and determination,” Ong added.
MBM 2024 Chair Walter Ong and Co-chair Marvey Alcantara shared that this future-focused vision drives the MCCI to utilize MBM as a catalyst for business innovation and prosperity. Ong also expressed gratitude to the Cebu Provincial Government and the Mandaue City Government for their support, alongside various event partners and sponsors.
